Chicken Lollipop | Restaurant Style Chicken Starter


Chicken Lollipop                                             10 pieces

Ginger – Garlic paste                                     1 tsp

Crushed pepper                                              ¼ tsp

Red chilli powder                                           2 tsp

Soya sauce                                                       ½ tsp

Red chilli sauce                                               ½ tsp

Tomato ketchup                                             ½ tsp

Salt                                                                    as required

Egg                                                                    1 whole

Maida                                                               1 tbsp

Cornflour                                                          2 tbsp

Oil                                                                      for deep frying


  • Take the chicken lollipop pieces in a bowl.
  • Add all the ingredients into the chicken except the oil.
  • Mix well. The chicken pieces must be well coated with the marinade.
  • Close and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Heat the oil on medium low flame for deep frying.
  • Drop the chicken pieces carefully 3-4 at a time.
  • Keep turning over and cook so that the chicken cooks on all sides and has even colour. It will take around 3-4 minutes.
  • Drain excess oil and take out the chicken in a plate.
  • Wrap the bones with aluminium foil and serve the chicken lollipop with schezwan sauce.
