Chickpeas are a type of legumes. They are rich in protein & fibre and hence they are good to include in the diet for those who exercise & are on a weight loss journey. Chickpea salad is very quick to make with minimum ingredients. You can boil the chickpeas in bulk & store in the freezer in advance. Just soak it in some hot water before using.
Chickpeas – 1 cup
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Tomato – 1 finely chopped
Salt – as required
Lemon – ½
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
Chat masala – ½ tsp
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
- Soak the chickpeas and boil them in pressure cooker with some salt.
- To the boiled chickpeas, add the finely chopped onions & tomatoes.
- Add salt, red chilli powder, chat masala, lemon & chopped coriander leaves.
- Mix everything well.
- High protein salad is ready to eat.
